Families, Parents & Carers

Working alongside parents, carers and families to shape better systems for young people – and for you.

“We know that parents, carers and families bring a unique perspective. You often understand the gaps in services because you’ve been navigating them yourself. At MyTBrain, we create ways for you to share your insights and help build change.”

-Founder, Hannah Brunskill

How Can You Get Involved?

Our families and carers network is a growing community of people who have been through the system themselves, supported a young person, or both. By joining, you’ll be part of a supportive group of like‑minded people who want to share experiences, influence change and help services do better.

What you can do now:

  • Join our Facebook group to connect with other families and carers who care about change

  • Sign up to our newsletter below so you never miss opportunities & stay up to date with general operations

  • Enquire about getting your young person involved

  • Use the contact page or facebook group to be put on our parent participation network list

What you can do once joining:

  • Take part in consultations and projects where your insights can influence policy, improve services, and help design better mental health and education systems

  • Recieve relatable community support from peers and staff at mytbrain

  • Recieve training and skills development when joining the participation network

Together, parents, carers and families bring an invaluable perspective. Your contribution helps shape mental health, education and health systems so that future families don’t have to face the same barriers alone.

All three are sitting on chairs, with their arms around each other and smiling with closed eyes. There's a clock showing 11:23 on the wall behind them.
